C Garrett Moore
I worked for a gentleman by the name of Ben Starling at the Outstanding Business Leaders Association. We recognized exceptional leaders in the business community at our annual awards gala at The Breakers in West Palm Beach, FL.
That's my wife, Trisha, and son, Gavin, above. Trish and I met in the 6th grade. I didn't find the gumption to ask her out until after we graduated high-school, but I'm glad I finally did. Gavin is affectionately known as "The Hurricane" as he decimates everything in his path.
Moore Financial Management, Inc.
My father began Moore Financial Management, Inc. over 30 years ago. Upon graduating from Northwood University with my bachelor's degree in finance, banking and management, I joined the family practice full time. The three of us, my mother included, worked together for over ten years. I have carried on the family tradition since their retirement in 2016.
Most Memorable Moment
Visiting an AIDS orphanage in Uganda with my parents as a child. My mother approached a young boy living in a hut with his mother. His name was Michael. She gave him one of the lollipops that we had brought along. After my mom showed him how to open it, he tasted it, then immediately fell to his knees to pray. When he rose, he tried to give my mom his only piece of clothing, a dirty and tattered t-shirt. Most of us are exceptionally blessed. I like to help people make the most of those blessings.
I currently serve on the boards of Samaritan Counseling Services of the Gulf Coast, Inc. and the American Red Cross of Southwest Florida, and thoroughly recommend and love both organizations.
Bayside Community Church
I attend Bayside Community Church where I teach financial basics through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University course.
