Frequently Asked Questions

What do you do?

Simply put, I will partner with you to help you progress towards the life you want using the money you have by optimizing your investments, insurance, and estate planning.

Who do you work with?

1) I only work with nice people. 2) You should be willing and excited to move yourself forward financially.

What is your investment philosophy?

I believe that asset allocation and time invested in the markets to be the greatest drivers of return. I utilize low cost, highly diversified exchange traded funds from Vanguard and Black Rock almost exclusively. I also enjoy employing socially responsible portfolios, if that's something you're interested in.

How are you paid?

I operate strictly on a commission-free basis. I charge 1% or less of your investment account's value, which is paid directly from the performance of the account. I am not the most expensive advisor, and you probably don't want the cheapest.

Are you a fiduciary?

Yes. All of the time. "What is a fiduciary?" A fiduciary is someone who will place your interests ahead of their own. "Aren't all financial advisors fiduciaries?" No. In fact, fiduciaries are the minority. All other advisors operate by the "suitability standard", meaning that they can recommend something that isn't the best option for you just so they can earn a big commission.

Do you only work with clients locally?

No. While we are located in Bradenton, FL., we have grown by word-of-mouth to serve clients from here to Hawaii, and are equipped to easily meet with clients via Zoom.

Can you help me with insurance?

Absolutely. I can help you determine what you need and what you don't need. Then, we can help you find life, disability and long-term care insurance, if necessary. We do not receive any commissions or compensation for the insurance we recommend or help you get.

What can I gain from working with an advisor?

Clarity. Do your investments, insurance, retirement and estate planning all feel like a hodge-podge? I will help you get all of that in order. Accountability. What if you had someone to help you determine goals, which ones are most important for you to work on now, and guidance on sticking with them? Expertise. Laws, regulations and fine print can make investments and insurance overwhelming. We'll help you figure out what you need and what you don't. Simplicity. Finances can be confusing. A good advisor will simplify it for you.

What is a Chartered Financial Consultant?

A Charted Financial Consultant, like myself, has been through 8 college level courses that teach indepth on investing, retirement planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning and more.
